Privacy Policy

Action is an iPhone app for making videos: you record clips, say how you want them edited, and an AI editor makes the edit. It is made by blue6 LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.
In short: we use your clips and requests to make the edits you ask for. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites. You can delete your account and everything in it from the app at any time.
What we collect
- Account details. When you sign in with Apple: an Apple user ID, and your name if you choose to share it. The username you pick.
- Your clips and edits. The videos you record or import, including their sound; photos or videos you pick as references; and the edited videos, films and thumbnails we make for you.
- Your requests. What you ask the editor to do. Spoken requests are transcribed on your iPhone, so we receive the text, not a recording of you speaking the request. Captions are also made on your iPhone, from the speech in your clip.
- What you share. Posts and their captions, stories, edits you send to friends, friend requests, likes, and reports or blocks you make.
- Purchases and credits. Apple handles payment. We receive the details needed to add credits to your account (the product and Apple's transaction ID), and we keep a record of your credit balance and how credits were used.
- Activity. Whether and how long posts were watched, so the feed and view counts work.
- Device and technical data. A notification token, if you allow notifications, so we can tell you when a quote or a video is ready; and basic logs (times, errors) we need to run and fix the service.
How we use it
- To plan, price and make the edits you ask for, check them against what you approved, and deliver them.
- To store your clips and videos, show them to you, and share them the way you choose.
- To keep your credit balance, process purchases and refund edits that fail.
- To send the notifications you allowed.
- To keep Action safe: acting on reports, preventing abuse and fraud.
- To answer you when you contact us, and to fix problems.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping records of purchases.
Who helps us process it
We share data only with the companies that run parts of Action for us, and only what each needs:
- Anthropic runs the AI editor (Claude) that plans, prices and makes your edit. It receives the clips, request and references for that edit.
- Higgsfield provides the generative video models that create new footage. It receives the clips, frames and references a generation needs.
- Amazon Web Services hosts our servers and stores your clips and videos, in the United States (Oregon).
- Apple provides Sign in with Apple, payments for credits, and notification delivery.
Copies sent to Anthropic and Higgsfield to make an edit are kept under their own retention policies.
What other people see
Your posts are visible to the audience you pick when you post. Edits you send go only to the friends you choose. Your username and profile are visible to people who use Action. Clips you record and edits you don't post or send stay private to you.
How long we keep it
We keep your account, clips and videos while your account exists. When you delete your account (in the app: Profile, then Delete account), we delete your profile, clips, edits, posts and messages from our service. Our backups roll over within 14 days. We keep records of purchases for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your choices
- Allow or turn off notifications at any time in your iPhone's Settings.
- Delete your account, and everything in it, in the app.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct it, by emailing support@actionfilms.app.
Children
Action isn't for children under 13, and you must be at least 13 to use it (or older, if the law where you live requires it). If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections, access to storage is restricted, and your clips and videos are shared through short-lived signed links. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what you trust us with.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date above, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
